Hailing from the Bay Area, Stephen grew up in a Christian family and was constantly involved in church ministry, starting from when he was only a teenager. While he did grow up playing violin, he did not enjoy it and eventually swore off playing any instrument when he got to high school. However, that changed when he experienced contemporary church service with a worship band, which inspired him to sing & play guitar and to eventually pursue music as a career.
After two years of community college, he decided to attend Biola University and was accepted into the Music Conservatory as a Music in Worship Major. During this time, he came to love all different kinds of music and felt that his passion was to be both a worship pastor and a professional musician.
In addition to being the worship director at Ambassador, he is currently pursuing careers in the music industry through being a session musician & songwriter.
