Ray Chang – Lead Pastor

Pastor Raymond Chang is originally from Southern California where he attended Biola University majoring in Biblical Studies. From Biola, he went to Talbot and Dallas Theological Seminary earning a Masters in Divinity and a Masters in Sacred Theology. Currently, he is studying for his Doctorate in Ministry at Trinity Divinity Evangelical School.

In addition to his academic history, Pastor Ray has an extensive ministry experience in second generation Korean American and multiethnic ministry. He began as a youth pastor in Southern California, then moved to an internship at First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton under the pastor leadership of Chuck Swindoll. It was there that Pastor Ray was ordained and received his call to Korean Central Presbyterian Church as their English Pastor, he served there for three years from 1993-1996. Afterwards, he planted a multi-ethnic church, Ambassador Bible Church, in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. In 2000, Ray moved back to Southern California to the same church where Pastor Ray did his internship, EV Free Fullerton to become the Outreach Pastor. In 2003, Pastor Ray planted his second church, Ambassador Church.

Pastor Ray is married to Sun Joo Chang and they have twin daughters, Kristen and Karissa.

Josh Carroll – Pastor of Connection

As the Pastor of Connection, Josh leads the small groups in set up and break down each Sunday, connecting with visitors, working with the Men’s ministry and discipleship ministries.  Josh’s passion is seeing people grow deeper in love with Christ through a mature walk with Him and by acting upon one’s spiritual gifts.

Josh has been the Pastor of Connection since October 2009.  Josh is currently working on a Masters in Theology and Spiritual Formation from Talbot Seminary. He is also the AS President for 2010-2011 at Talbot.

Josh is married to Melodie, and has three boys, Ethan, Ryun, and Aiden.

Ben Fowler – Pastor of Upreach

Ben Folwer grew up loving music, and can be found leading worship on Sundays at the O.C. Campus. Another area of ministry that Ben is gifted in is on developing creative elements for each weekly Sunday Worship Service.

As a worship leader, Ben feels that “The thing I would love to concentrate on is being: simple (not complicated), true, and honest worshipers of Jesus, both on Sunday and throughout the week. Words that describe simple, true, and honest worshipers: joy, passion, grace, servant, trust, faithfulness, and love.”

Ben has been serving as the Upreach Pastor  since April 2010.

Ethan Hedberg – Associate Pastor/O.C. Campus Pastor

Ethan Hedberg is the associate pastor at the O.C. campus. As associate pastor, he oversees all Inreach (working with small group leaders/hosts and curriculum) and Outreach (local and global), as well as shepherding the members of the O.C. campus. He has been serving at Ambassador since 2007.

Ethan is married to Laura and they have two children, Charis and Elias.

PASSIONS: Watching Angels baseball, mountain biking, and perfecting the zerbert on his kids’ bellies

Paul C. Kim – Assistant Pastor

Paul Kim serves as one of the assistant pastors at Ambassador Church, overseeing much of the church’s finance, administration and management. No matter where he is serving, Paul desires to bring stability and efficiency in order to allow the church to accomplish its mission. He graduated from Vanguard University with a Bachelors of Arts in Religion and Intercultural Studies and is currently studying for a Masters in Divinity at Talbot School of Theology.

Paul is married to Tiffany and has a baby boy named Darren. He feels that they are his life’s greatest blessing and responsibility, entrusted to him with the hopes of his continual growth, not only as a pastor, but also as a husband and father.

Gloria S. Lee – Pastor of Children’s Ministry

Greenhouse is the Children’s Ministry led by Gloria Lee since 2002, when the Lord called called her to work with little ones. Prior to being a children’s minister, Gloria received her Bachelors in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley followed by an MA in Christian Education from Talbot School of Theology.

Gloria affirms that, “God has been super-faithful, by giving Gloria a great team she serves with who are committed volunteers that are faithfully planting the seeds in the hearts of precious children.  It’s a joy to serve God and His children as Greenhouse Director who welcomes even greater challenges to making Greenhouse an awesome growing place for God’s children!”

Jeff Spindle – L.A. Campus Pastor

Jeff Spindle serves Ambassador Church as the L.A. campus pastor.  He is a former financial adviser who oversees worship, outreach, and discipleship ministries at Ambassador’s LA campus, where he can usually be found leading the worship team  on Sundays. Jeff has a passion for God’s Word, for true biblical community, and loves to see consumers transformed into worshipers of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jeff has been serving Ambassador Church since June, 2008, when he arrived with his wife, Nikki, from the state of Texas.  Jeff holds a B.A. from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and a Masters of Divinity (M.Div) degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.  He plays the guitar and dabbles on the piano, writing the occasional song.

Jeff and Nikki are expecting their first child in 2011.
