Church Planting Residency Program
Program Description: The Ambassador Church Planting Residency is a church planter training
program. It has been designed for called and qualified church planters to complete prior to
full-time church planting work. The ACP Residency aims to equip the resident by instilling in
him the biblical convictions, and by providing opportunities to observe how these convictions
are lived out in the life of the local church.
Time: The ACP Residency Program is a full-time one-year program based at
Ambassador Church, Brea, CA. The program begins August 1 yearly and ends
July 31 of the following year.
Qualifications: Applicants are required to submit a completed application with personal
and pastoral references. Preference will be given to applicants with pastoral ministry
experience and to those having completed a Master of Divinity or similar theological degree
program.
Process: Applicants will be screened, assessed and interviewed by the Church Planting

Due Date: Applications for the TCT Church Planting Residency Program are due by May 1
of each year.

Components of the Residency: The Residency program is made up of the following
components: supervised ministry, TBI seminars, a mentoring relationship, and a year-end
assessment and evaluation.
Field Education Credit: The Residency program is structured such that it meets the
requirements for Field Education typically required to receive a Master of Divinity degree.
